🌟 Why I Started Hands-On Home Skills with Brittany 🌟

Over the years, I've had the privilege of learning and developing a wide range of unique skills through various jobs and life experiences. But it wasn’t until I became a mom that I truly recognized a significant gap in the opportunities for my child’s growth and development. While daycare and traditional school programs are great, they focus mostly on subjects like Math, Reading, and Writing—important as they are, these subjects don't cover everything kids need to thrive as independent adults.

I noticed that in the past, schools offered valuable classes like Home Economics, Woodshop, and Auto Shop—lessons that taught kids practical, real-world skills. Unfortunately, due to funding cuts and changes in the education system, many of these essential programs are no longer available. That's when I decided to create Hands-On Home Skills with Brittany.

I wanted to give parents the chance to sign themselves or their children, teens, or young adults up for lessons that teach crucial life skills—skills that aren't typically part of the traditional curriculum. From cooking, baking, meal-prep, canning, cleaning, and organizing; to budgeting, and more, these lessons are about far more than preparing for the future. They’re about giving you and your kids the confidence and competence to handle life today—to be independent, responsible, and self-sufficient.

My mission is simple: to fill the gaps left by traditional education and equip the next generation with the tools they need to succeed in every area of life. These skills foster confidence, resilience, and problem-solving abilities—traits that are invaluable no matter where life takes them.
